It appears that you have been charged with Petit Theft, a first degree misdemeanor. If that is accurate, the maximum punishment is pp to six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00, plus court costs. The Court can put you on probation for up to five years.
The punishment is unique to each fact pattern, but I would work toward a sentence of probation and a fine.
When ever the defendant faces the possibility of a jail sentence I recommend that he get a lawyer.
Best of luck with your case.
