Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

I am charged with wrongful entrustment. I have been told by the court many conflicting versions of what this charge carries. So far it seems that no one seems to know whether this charge carries jailtime or not. When I appeared in court the judge read of the charge and the penalties, he stated that it carries up to 6 months in jail so i plead not guilty however upn asking for a court appointed attourney the clerk told me that i wasnt allowed to have one because it is an unclassified misdemeaner and does not carry jail time. She also told me that the judge had made a mistake. I guuess all the confusion is due to the fact that the code has been revised at some point recently so no one seems to know the real truth. Ive looked it up on the internet and again I am faced with conflicting stories. I need to plan my defense so I need to know... jail term plays a huge factor in how I proceed and at this point. Either way you look at it there are some serious issues with my case... I was either given the wrong info before i plead or i am given the wrong info now and am denied an attourney. So if anyone know can you please tell me... Is there a jail term for this sentence and is it a misdemeaner 1 or and unclassified misdemeaner?

As of Sept. 30, 2011 the law changed to make your charge an unclassified misdemeanor that carries a penalty of possible community service an/or a fine but there is no jailtime. Therefore, you are not entitled to an attorney.
