Check Fraud

Can a person be prosecuted for an outstanding personal check; held by a check cashing establishment, if the loanee defaults and the account is closed?

If a check is written on a closed account then the person who wrote the check can be prosecuted. The Revised code requires that the person be given a notice to make restitution within 10 days. Failure to do so can result in prosecution.
