Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

i have a friend that wrote bad checks and they are talking about takeing her to court if she has the money before she goes to court will they still take her or do they have to take the money.

The time to make restitution is before charges are filed. Once charges are filed it is then up to the prosecutor to dismiss. Once you get to the point of charges being filed the prosecutor may very well insist on a guilty plea with restitution. The prosecutor does not like to be a collection agent and will not look favorably upon you.
