Can a codefendant file for a separate suppression hearing motion from the defendant if the defendant filed his motion to suppress

Yes. The question is whether you have standing to file a motion to suppress. If you were a passenger in a vehicle that was searched, you do have standing. If you were an overnight guest of a place that was searched, you do have standing. Any further questions you can call me directly 216.952.1990.
