Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Credit card fraud and a minor

My then 13-year-old son was using my debit card (w/a VISA logo) to make calls to a chat line back in Nov-Dec. I didn't know this was going on until my bank account began shrinking. After days of working w/the bank, all of the money was refunded to my account because I had no idea about these calls so we considered it ''theft.'' Now, a company representing this chat company has called me to say they're going to press charges against my son. What can I do? If you need more info, please let me know.

Thanks.

They cannot charge him, you would have to sign something that says he was not authorized to use the card. If that was your argument to them, they could forward that to the police to make that happen. It is MOST likely that they will sue him, not have him charged with anything.
