Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
criminal charges
I received a phone call from a company in California stating that they were representing a payday loan company. They stated that I received a payday loan from them but never repaid it and instead of the company collecting the money they have filed criminal charges against me and the tomorrow I will be picked up and taken to court. I did apply for a payday loan online but did not complete it. I did not receive any money in my bank account. I have statments to prove this. Also I never received a phone call or any mail from them stating I owed money. What can I do about this?

Re: criminal charges
It may be a bluff, hard to tell. With the records you have, you should be able to prove you are innocent. First, see if they actually follow through. Feel free to contact me if you wish. Best Regards, Edward Dicato
