My wife Stole a check book from her mom, chashed about 16 checks came up to about 18000.00, now her Mom & Dad tell me I must give them my pay checks or they will put her away. Part 1 am I at falt for her Stealling the money. Part 2 is this Blackmail? I need to get out of this mess some how, PS her dad is charmen of the town counsol where I live. I feal cornered and I did nothing.

You definitely should feel cornered! Your wife is looking at major time in jail for what she did. Every step you take is extremely important...You need to call me or any other lawyer NOW since everything you say and do puts YOU in danger of getting in trouble. For starters, your wifre should offer to write out the terms of her agreement to repay....If that money is not considered a loan, she will be going to jail!
