Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
My daughter works at a convenient store which sales Ohio Lottery instant scratch off tickets, and while working (on the clock), she scratched off a small area of several tickets to see if they were winners, the total dollar amount of said tickets was somewhere around $250.00. If found guilty, what is the penalty? Do we need to hire an attorney?

In Ohio, this will be seen as theft and she could be facing jail time. She should contact an attorney. If she cannot afford an attorney, then she should contact the local public defender's office and speak with them about getting representation in this matter.
