Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Here's the deal. I stole a bicycle out of someone's garage, they're charging me with burglary. I have no priors besides a juvenile record for other stuff. What's the estimated punishment, and, if I have to spend time incarcerated, can I get a conditional discharge instead, possibly?

Punishment depends on the statute of conviction. Therefore, your punishment depends on the level of felony to which you might plead guilty. However, you are putting the "cart before the horse." You are presumed innocent and should retain counsel to contest the charges. Felony convictions will haunt you for the rest of your life and there are many avenues to contest the charges and maintain your innocence.
