Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Disorderly conduct charge aquittal
Driver 1 is at a light waiting for oncoming traffic to let up to turn left when the car behind honks horn and displays middle finger. Driver 1 exits car, approaches car 2 and comments on displeasure of gesture. Driver 2 says get back in your F____IN' car and opens door into driver 1 cutting open hand. Driver 1 pushes car door closed when police officer pulls up. Driver 1 is charged with disorderly conduct in the 4th degree. Is there a legal argument to get the charges dropped.

It is highly unlikely that you will be found not guilty, but you may want to ask the Court to reduce it to a minor misdemeanor. The only chance you have is maybe self defense.
