Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
disorderly conduct
i went to jail for one night for disorderly conduct it was for fighting another girl in a parking lot of a bar the other girl left before the cops came so i just went to jail should i plea no contest to the charge an will i only have to pay a fine this is my first offense an can the other person still press charges on me even after i plea no contest to the disorderly gharge

dont take a criminal conviction on this!!!
plead not guilty and ask for a pretrial date...you can ask then for a non-criminal conviction...
if you ultimately plead no contest, that plea cannot be used against you in a civil trial....otherwise, whatever happens in the criminal matter will not affect the person's right to sue you later....
she has two years to decide whether to sue you...
