Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
erasing all case history
I have been asked to research all information that
pertains to the following:
If I am charged with shoplifting and I am truly
innocent, it was an honest mistake at a mall, I left
one store and entered another with an item in my
hands, security saw it and pressed charges anyway.
I was cited and released with notice to appear.
Because of my employment statis, this could get me
fired, or keep me from getting a job. I want to know
what and how do I get these charges dropped or if
prosecution files anyway and I can get the charges
thrown out or dismissed, how do make so I can honestly
answer the question on any application ''have you ever
been charged with a crime'' NO??

Re: erasing all case history
Your case is complicated because the prosecution team (store security, the police and the DA)believe you are guilty. The particurlar facts of your case must be examined.
It sounds like a jury or judge trial will be needed to prove that your mental state was not that of a criminal.
