Re: Expungement
To get your record expunged, you must make a request to the court where the conviction occurred. Many times, the court will have a packet to complete and submit along with the filing fee. Then it is up to the judge, which may or may not set a formal hearing.
It is often helpful, and sometimes necessary, to have an attorney help you.
Expungement is only available to first time offenders. So if you have any other offenses on your record, you may not qualify.
