Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
What can I expect when I turn myself in from a felonious assault w/ specks case that happen in 1990?
I was afraid of going back to prison after just doing 6 months and left state before I went to court.
20 years ago while I was out with a friend we went to talk to this guy about a rumor. I was in shock when my friend pulled out a gun then shot and injured him.
Next thing I know I seemed caught up in a nightmare that lingers with me every day of my life. I wish with all my heart that I just stayed, put my fear aside and faced the charges then.
I'm always afraid and now with 20 years of this hell I have to face that I cannot put this I behind me unless I do something about. I cant have a normal life

You need the victim and the person you were with that day on your side.....the victim might have gotten over it, and might also have known that you were surprised by it....what is his status?
you must have been good these 20 years to stay out off the radar, so that speaks for something....you could be convicted, but given probation considering all the facts, especially if you can prove your case reasonably well...and especially if you can line up the witnesses who can testify as to your character....
you can do this...find a lawyer in your area and work thru him...you have to line the people up for him first!
good luck....feel free to contact me directly: 216.952.1990
