Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Expunged Record
In 2005 I was charged with felony grand theft. I was allowed to participate in a diversion program and completed this in early 2007. I have requested that my record be expunged. I would like to become a Certified Nurse Aid and am wondering if my record is expunged would it still show up in a criminal background check if I were to seek employment at a Nursing Home?

Re: Expunged Record
If you participated in a diversion program and successfully completed the Court requirements, it is likely that the charges against you were dismissed and you do not have a conviction.
If you call me with more information, I should be able to help you find out if there is a conviction. No charge or obligation for the confidential call!
