Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
expungement of record
my husband has 2 very old charges from '80 and '83. His fines and probation were served and probation released. We have prepared a motion to file for each charge. We are preparing these motions ourselves. Can we submit both at the same time or should they be submitted on different occasions? Is it possible for both charges to be expunged? He really needs this as he is now coaching high school sports and must have a clear record to continue.

Re: expungement of record
Unfortunately, he is not eligible under Ohio law for expungement. The Court will investigate if he is a first time offender. In other words, the fact that he got another conviction in 1983 precludes him from obtaining an expungement.
