Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
expungement of sentance
Can I as a civilian file a motion to expunge my criminal sentance by myself or do i need an attourney. And if I can, how can I find the paperwork needed to file this motion?

Re: expungement of sentance
A layman can file for an expungement if they qualify. In order to qualify you must be a first time offender. This includes misdemeanors and traffic charges, but does not include minor misdemeanor charges. You must also wait the requisite time period. Further there are certain offenses upon which you can not obtain an expungement. If you qualify merely go to the Clerk of Courts and they should have the necessary forms.
