Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
false identity
is there any legal recourse for someone who may have lived with another individual, in a partnership with plans to marry, but was given false information about the individual by the individual (i.e. denied legally changing their name, claimed to be an ex-marine but was never in the military, claims both parents are deceased - still trying to verify that one). finances were involved.

Re: false identity
There may be contract liability. However, this does not fall within the area of domestic or criminal law.
