Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

False police charges

I was employed for a few days by a ''construction'' company. I chose to quit because for the other employees use for recreational drugs during work hours. I called the owner several times to inquire when I would receive my pay. After 3 weeks of ''the check is in the mail'' i told them if I did not receive the check by the end of the week, I would be filing a complaint with the local court to get my wages and my hammer back. 1 week later, he filed police charges that his trucks had been broken into and that I was the suspect.

What is my best course of action at this point?

Re: False police charges

Call the police/prosecutor and tell them the situation. Then file a complaint in small claims court for your tools and wages that he owes you. What evidence could he possibly have that YOU were the person who broke into his trucks? NONE!
