Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Felony charges
I hired two different lawyers for my son and paid out over 8,500 dollars to fight 2 felony charges. In the beginning they say we can win this. Then after they have my money they say they can't get any of the charges dropped or even lowered. I don't know what to do.

Re: Felony charges
It is very difficult to accurately predict the outcome of a criminal case. Information that I get from the client is sometimes not accurate or unable to be proven. There are usually a number facts that the client is not aware of and when that new information is discovered it may change the case dramatically. In any event, it is unusual for an attorney to guarantee that they can get a felony dismissed. I have a number of questions that will need to be answered before I can provide you with any real help. You should talk directly to an attorney on a matter that is this important and urgent. I have been helping people who have been seriously injured and those wrongfully accused of crime for more than 30 years-I will be happy to discuss this with you in more detail if you want to call me. No charge or obligation for the call. Again, you should call and talk to an attorney directly or at least call the attorneys who have already been paid and ask them why the change of opinion on the case! Good Luck to you and your son.
