Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
I have a friend that was convicted of Involuntary Manslaughter and Attempted Involuntary Manslaughter in 1997. He was only 17 years old. The judge sentenced him to prison and suspended his license permanently. Can he petition the court or file some motion to get the right to drive back ever?

There is a process by which you can get a permanently suspensed license reinstated. Many factors are involved and I would need more information. For starters, 15 years must have passed since the permanent suspension and your friend must not have committed any other offenses since 1997. If you'd like to discuss in greater detail, please contact me.
