Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Should I give a written statement?
I have a chance of being charged with
battery but the one filing the complaint
is making false accusations. I was
contacted by the police and asked by
them to give a written statement.
Should I wait to do this until after I
speak with an attorney? Should I wait
until I know what charges are being
filed?

Re: Should I give a written statement?
Yes, you should simply talk to a lawyer over the phone...describe for him what happened, and he will help you decide how to write the statement, or maybe not to write the statement at all.
