Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
The grass is not greener ...
The issue: Several weeks ago I had property damage done to my lawn by an irate female. It looks like she used some kind of chemical (probably gas) that killed the grass. She scribe the letters to read FAG (which I'm not) on the front lawn. This is rather embarrassing. I live in a very nice neighborhood and now I'm getting suspicious looks from the neighbors.
The reason: She was removed from our league because she's very disruptive and has decided I was the person behind it. I've received 2 emails from her where she does call me a fag. This is why I believe she's responsible. I have no proof and the police took a damage report but that's all they did.
Is there any recourse at this point that I can pursue thru the courts?
Thanks much for your time.

If the police took a report, there is probably not much else you can do through the criminal courts. However, you may be able to institute a civil action to recover the cost of repairing your lawn, court costs, and possibly attorneys' fees.
