Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

hunting with out permission

my hunting parter was caught on private land hunting without permission.I was not but may be charge. I walk up the county road back to the truck were they were waiting for me.they did not see me come off any property or on any private property.Do i plead innocent ? may i take the fifth admendment about my location? will my innocent plea hurt my friend ? can we be sue by the owner in civil court if we or i fight the charge ? if no damage was done? my truck was parked in there driveway just off the county road but before their gate . it did not totally block the drive i was off to the side a little.county road to gate was say 20 to 25ft long .i did talk to the owner two days earlier but he say he did not know who the land owner was .i stated to the game warden that point . but bottom line was do you have a permission slip. i show my friend the land to hunt.
