Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
My husband was charged with murder, he took a plea of involuntary manslaughter given an indefinite sentence of 1to 10 years according to 1979 laws when this crime happened. can we appeal this so he would get a definite sentence under current law? and if so what area of practice would we look for to help us with this appeal?

He can appeal it and you would need an appellate attorney to assist you. Unfortuately, most appeals are denied.
