Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
My husband went to trial in april for a crime that happened in 1979, he was sentenced according to 1979 laws. is there any way this can be changed to the newer laws and if so what can we do?

No, one is sentenced according to the laws at the time the crime happened.
