Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Is it illegal to pay someone to punch or steal from another person?

If a man and/or his family benefits in some way from him punching, or stealing a car (but allowing it to be returned via police) from another person has the person who has paid either with money or some type of favor broken the law? What type of proof does the law require and what is the statute of limitations? Would this be criminal or civil matter, if it could be proved, and without a confession, how would a lawyer bring it to court? This is assuming the man who actually punched and stole has already faced criminal charges by police and the prosecutor dropped it. I have been reading about domestic violence; if someone else has ''spurred'' on that violence and the perp is willing to do jail time thru a plea bargain how many guilty people are there? Just the one who does it? or also the one who pays and the one who benefits financially?

Yes. Conspiracy/solicitation would most likley be the charge. You could also be charged as an accessory before the fact.
