Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Am I looking at jail time
i was arrested for ccw. i made bond. while on bond they found that i had a robbery/weapon charge 25 years ago. what is the min/max sentence i could receive? i don't have a lot of money, should i get an attorney, or the public defender they have appointed me?

Having weapons under disability is a third degree felony. Sentences for third degree felonies range from one to five years. However, probation is also an option. Under Ohio law there is neither a presumption for or against prison sentences for third degree felonies.
It is really up to you whether you use a public defender or hire a private attorney. What is important is that you have an attorney.
