Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Seeing a judge

My son was arrested by his parole office for a supposed bad urine test. He said they had problems with his last one and made him retake it and it was clean. He was arrested on December 20. This is December 28 and he still has not seen a judge. He was working full time prior to this and had not missed any time. He says his parole officer was trying to get him out of jail last week. He was supposed to go to court yesterday (12/28) but they said they didn't have a prosecutor.

Hot making excuses for him or his actions, his parole officer has done things in the past that make me suspicious of his actions and that of the court system.

Re: Seeing a judge

It is very common that parolees who are arrested do not see a judge for sometimes months. He can make a motion with the court to have his hair tested for drugs. It's complicated, but it will give him an opportunity to prove his innocence.
