Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Judicial release vs. sentence mod

What are the best chances of retaining a lawyer for someone already sentenced and serving a 7 year sentence on a case to get either judicial release and/or a sentence modification in the hopes of reducing the sentence to 2 or 3 years. How do I begin this process? and lastly, what are the chances this is successful and how much will it cost? It has been one year into the sentence which is not mandatory.

Re: Judicial release vs. sentence mod

I will be happy to answer some of the questions that you have asked if you want to give me a call. Unfortunately there is not much that I can tell you without more information. I can tell you that there are a number of ways of going about hiring a lawyer. You can ask around or check with the local bar association but in the end, the best thing to do is talk directly to an attorney and see how you feel about him or her after you have learned a little bit about their experience etc.

I have been an assistant county prosecutor and a public defender. I have been in private practice for more than 30 years and have handled many post conviction relief matters. I will be happy to talk to you if you want to give me a call. No charge or obligation for a confidential telephone call.

Good Luck!
