Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Is it legal?
I was wondering if it is legal for a 16 year old girl to date a 23 year old man. Can this man be sent to jail even though they have had no sexual contact? If the dad wants to press charges does he have a case? Even though there is no proof that they've been together other than a cell phone bill. What kind of charges if any could be set against this man? It's all he said she said stuff. Should there be anything to worry about? Please help!

Re: Is it legal?
You always have "contributing to the delinquency of a minor" issues with this. If she is in anyway delinquent it will be blamed on you. The age of consent for sex is 16, but you can still get in trouble if she is found to be delinquent.
