Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
limitations
I was living in ohio and moved to Kentucky. I received a letter from a relative where I was living stating that the police have issued a warrant for my arrest for burglary. What is the statute of Limitations for this and will they cross state lines to come get me.

Re: limitations
The statute of limitations is not really an issue since it is tolled (stops running) while you live in another state. Because burglary is a felony offense, the police could extradite you from Kentucky.
If you know that you have a warrant for your arrest, it is in your best interest to address it on your terms, instead of waiting until you get stopped for a traffic ticket, or get in an accident, and the police ID you and then you spend weeks in jail because of the warrant.
You should hire an attorney in Ohio to address the warrant problem.
Good luck with your case.
