Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
I live in Ohio. My husband has been arrested for Sexually Battery of my children ( his step kids) Yesterday he was in court and ask for a court appointed attorney. They told him no because we have to much equity in our home, and needed to refinance the house. We just refinanced 2 months ago and have to wait two years. Our income to debit ratio is already maxed out and my parents are co-signers on the house loan. There is no way he can pull any money out of the house. Plus hes on Social Security and probably gonna loose that. I have no job at this time as Ive always been a housewife. The courts also told him to sell his Harley Davidson, and beat up old car hes been driving to pay for a lawyer. If he dont they will put a lien on my property. Im the one that brought charges against him as hes the one that confessed to me about the children. Can they do this and what are my options?
