Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
How long after you are charged will it take to see a judge?
Basically, my boyfriend was arrested, held 6 days ''under investigation'' today he was charged with burglary. But he hasnt seen a judge about a bail, he hasnt entered a plea, I am also calling around to find him an attorney, But they are all saying like $2000, just to retain them. Is this unreasonable? Also, are detectives allowed to call me and tell me about his prior record, he was also telling me about how dangerous my boyfriend is. Is the detective allowed to tell me his record and his opinion of him and things?

Yes, they are allowed to call you and bad mouth your boyfriend...that does happen...the six days is illegal. Call me or have him call me if you want to talk about it...
Lawyers are adapt to expect everything up front, especially in a burglary case...i may not require that but i will talk to you for free to clear things up for you:
