how long does the stae of ohio have to serve an indictment?

The statute of limitations on obtaiining an indictment varies depending on the type of offense. Once an indictment has been returned by the grand jury and filed with the clerk, there is no official "time limit" within which it must be served.
A defendant can always argue that the failure to serve the indictment prejudiced him in the defense of his case.
