Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
what am i lookin at?
3 days ago i get a call from a detective to come see him. i spoke w him and he showed me a report that they found my fingerprints in a house that had been burglarized. i told him i didnt remember being there because sometimes i blackout if i drink. after talking with him i started asking friends what happened that night. i received a call from a girl (i dont know her name)and she told me that we were intoxicated and entered an unlocked and unoccupied house. there was still property in the house. the owners recently moved out. the girl and i engaged in sexual activity and left. he says things are missing and wont quit calling me to come back and fill out a statement. what should my next course of action be? what can i be charged with?

Re: what am i lookin at?
Based just on the facts you give, you could probably be charged with trespassing and burglary. The burglary is a felony, which carries prison time.
Your first course of action should be to contact a lawyer. Police officers and detectives will often keep harassing you to give them a statement they can use against you. Generally, if they had enough evidence to bring something against you, they wouldn't need anything from you. It might not be in your best interest to speak with the detective again, especially without a lawyer.
