Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
On March 1, 2010 I was arrested for a F4 charge. My bond was set at $50,000 at 10% plus House Arrest. I posted bond and was released. I lost my job due to these charges. I would like to know if it is possible to file a Motion to Reduce the bond to remove the House Arrest portion of the bond. Finding a job and maintaining my home by myself are nearly impossible while on house arrest. Additionally, the court case has no end in sight, which could result in me losing my home. Is it possible to have House Arrest removed and if so, how likely? I should also add I have no previous criminal record whatsoever. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Quite frankly, I am surprised that you are using LawGuru to answer your question because you should definitely be represented by counsel. Or, "if you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to you at no charge to you."
You lawyer should file the motion and attend the hearing required to see if he/she can persuade the judgge to reduce the bond.
You need to get a lawyer by hire or appointment. This is serious stuff that you should not be doing yourself.
