Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

minor misdeamanor

I got a citation for a minor misdemeanor, disorderly conduct in Wickliffe, OH over thie weekend. I am a PA resident and am trying to get a teaching job, and I don't know if this will show on my criminal record check, and if it counts as a criminal conviction/arrest. Could you tell me if an application asks if I have a conviction, do I say yes? Does it get included on my record check:?

Re: minor misdeamanor

If you received a citation it sounds like a summary offense. I don't know Ohio Law but if it is a misdemeanor you would normally be scheduled for a preliminary hearing where it would be determined whether the case should be held for court. If it is a summary offense resolved before the Justice of the Peace, there normally wouldn't be a criminal record since no records would be transmitted to state court but as to the application, it depends on what the application asks.
