Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Narcotics
I have been accused of stealing prescription narcotics, I am a nurse. I have already paid over 20,000 to my attorney. Because of the charges, I cannot gain employment. My current attorney states that if I do not pay him a large proportion of an additional 18,000, he will not continue to represent me, is this ethical? If I had a job, I would of course be more then willing to pay.

Re: Narcotics
Not knowing anything about the case, I cannot say wether it is ethical or not. I can say that is a very large bill for what seems to me to be a fairly common criminal defense matter, but even that is hard to say without more details. What I propose is that you give me a call (you can find my number in my law guru profile) for a free, confidential consultation. I have some ideas that could save you a good deal of money AND help with your legal problem, but I cannot go any further without the details of your case.
