Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
nolo contendre
If you have a misdemeanor criminal charge and plead no contest and receive a suspended sentence with non-reporting probation, do you have a criminal record? Can this record be expunged at the end of the non-reporting probation?

Yes, it does go on your record and stays there. If this is greater than a minor-misdemeanor and not a number of specified offenses, AND it is your only conviction other than traffic violations, it can be expunged/sealed. Feel free to contact me if you have further questions. 216, 227, 0900.
