Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Officer Bloopers
I know a person that was tazered in the back(by law officers) while they were operating a off road vehicle on private property. The person did have a bench warrant (failure to appear) on them at the time but did not present any type of threat to the officers as he was moving away from them when he was shot in the back. The tazer connection was broken and the person was able to regain control of the vehicle. What justification can be offered as to why these officers have the right to shoot someone in the back while they are on riding on private property and where would the report of the shooting be filed? Thank You, Anyones opinion to this question would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Officer Bloopers
I really do not think the officer has any right to tazer a person under such circumstances. If there's a report, it would be in the custody of the law enforcement agency involved. I'm assuming the person suffered no injuries.
