Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
In ohio my daughter was falsley accused of some serious crimes. she went to trial in nov.2013 and was found not guilty by a jury. we now want to persue legal action against woman who filed false charges. our trial attorney says he cannot send new attorney any documents from trial because some are marked "counsel only",but not all. he says new attorney must subpeona the prosecuters office for documents. is this true? it took him 4 weeks to make this decision!

In Ohio, many criminal defense attorneys don't have a good comfort level with bringing civil actions like malicious prosecution claims. It sounds like you would be better off with a different attorney.
