Whats the meaning of permitting drug abuse

if someone is in your house or in your car and they are using drugs, and you dont do anything to stop them, you can be charged with permitting drug abuse....
it's a 1st degree misdemeanor (6 months of possible jail and $1000 fine)
it's sometimes a hard thing for them to prove so make sure you have a lawyer for that...
