Most people may say that she doesn't have anything to worry about if she did not do anything wrong. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people sitting in jail-some on death row! who have done nothing wrong. She should talk directly to an experienced criminal attorney before she talks to anyone else. It may be that she will only need an office conference or it may be that she will need to retain an attorney to screen all of her contact with the police. The police are not out to protect your niece. Their job is to try and determine who has broken the law. Tell her to contact an attorney before she talks to the police again. This should be a face to face conference between your niece and the attorney with no one else present.
