possession of cocaine
my son was charged f1 cocaine possession, 500 grams but not more then 1000grams by the state. where or how to fine like the state guidlines. or if there is a mandatory sentencing rule.tnx

As charged there is a 3 year mandatory, but depending on many other factors too many to list, he could reduce that in a deal, especially if this is is first offense.

Yes, there is a mandatory prison term associated with that charge if your son is convicted. An F-1 sentence carries a mandatory sentence of 3-10 years in the Ohio Prison system. The mandatory sentences for Drug charges are very complicated but they are located in Chapter 29 of the Ohio revised Code.
