Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Can I press charges against my daughter?
My daughter forged my name on credit card checks & accrued a debt of close to $8000. I paid the credit card companies, but I want to know if I have any legal recourse to press charges, if she doesn't comply with my requests. I have asked her to be transperant with her finances & demanded repayment. I don't want her to have a record, but I want her to be accountable. This happened within the past 6 months. She is 23 and lives in my home. She is a recovering addict. She has been submitting to drug tests & is clean.

Re: Can I press charges against my daughter?
If you decide, you can have your daughter charged. What she has done constitutes multiple major felonies, punishable by years in prison, so prison is probable and this would be a very serious matter. Feel free to contact me directly to discuss.
