Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
I pressed false charges on my daughters father a couple months ago because I was jeolous and mad that he was leaving me for another woman. I feel very ashamed and have tried everything to admit this to the judicial system but no one will listen. They are still trying to pursue it saying that the state has taken it over. He was charged with domestic violence menacing, disrupting public service, burglary, theft, and criminal tresspassing. The only thing they are basing this on is pictures of damadges in my home, my 911 call, and my testimony. There was no eye witnesses. It was all based on my story. He has a trial for this in a month. What do you think I can do to help? I have writtin statements, filed a police report stating that I pressed false charges, talked to the prosecutor, his attorney and wrote letters. Would it be best in his defense if I did not show up to trial? What else can I possibly do? How can they pursue this?

You need to go to his trial and testify truthfully.... it's that simple....you will likely be charged yourself with a crime afterwards, but you may save this guy from an unfair conviction of domestic violence which is a permanent conviction. This guy still may be convicted of other offenses if any of your story was true....good luck, and just go to the trial...
