Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Probation and outstanding warrants
My stepdaughter, age 18, is currently on probation from unknown charges in FL, and has one or two outstanding warrants there as well. This weekend she moved into our home in Ohio and has informed us that she is not going to complete her probation as required. Her father has no problem with this, saying she will be ok as long as she doesnt get into trouble here. I want to know what the legal ramifications are for ALL of us. Thank you.

Re: Probation and outstanding warrants
Potentially, nothing could happen. Conversely, depending on how serious the charge is, you could be charged with harboring a fugitive. Odds are that she will only be caught if she is stopped for a speeding ticket or some other trafic offense.
You have some hard decisions to make. I would encourage her to complete probation so that she does not have to be on the run.
