Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
property
My husband and his brother do ''DJ''ing jobs for a couple that they know who owns their own DJing buisness. It is under the table and nothing is ever signed. Today the refused to pay them for the job they did last night. My husband and his brother always keep the laptop as insurance of getting paid. Today that seemed to be problem. They are now refusing to pay them and said that they will be filing theft charges. My husband and his brother do not want the laptop, they just want paid. What should we do?

Re: property
Give back the laptop and file a civil suit against the owners of the DJ company. You should have them contact a lawyer. It can be done very easily.
